Over the past few days the UK's airspace has been closed because of the threat posed by the ash drifting over from the Icelandic volcano.
I once read an interview from a new yorker who said in the days after 9/11 when US airspace was closed, the skies cleared up a lot. The lack of air travel is most certainly having a positive impact on the environment, and I can definitely say the skies are a lot clearer. No more jet streams!
Don't get me wrong - I'm no environmentalist. I do however appreciate a good bit of peace and quiet, with no 747s roaring above my head.
Is it so wrong for me to secretly want the airspace to remain closed for a while longer? A week would be nice.
It's the biggest headline in Europe at the moment, with people complaining about being stuck in locations such as New York and Spain. If I was to choose any location to be stuck in, it would be one of those two. I don't understand why someone would complain about being stuck there, being as the airlines have a responsibility to feed and accommodate you (if you purchased a return ticket). If I had to choose where I'd like to be stuck, it would probably be New York or Spain. Maybe I can get in touch with these people and life swap.
From a clear & sunny day in the UK, happy Sunday folks!

NOH8 @ Olchfa
Hey everyone,
I've been on a weeks hiatus from the online world, or so it would seem.
Things have started to get really busy in school because of a new project I'm working on.
The famous 'NOH8' campaign that started in California as a reaction to Proposition 8 produced by Adam Bouska and Jeff Parshley has given me so much inspiration since March of last year.
But I've been reading up on Gay Marriage and LGBT rights, and I have to say I'm furious.
I've never been so angry, but I've found an outlet for that anger.
Last Wednesday I wore the 'NOH8' to school on my right cheek, and people asked what it was, so I explained. The next day I did the same, and a friend and I thought it would be a good idea to start a photo shoot in the school.
Immediately I had a bombardment of ideas rush into my head, and I did the thing that every artists does when he or she knows it'll be a success. I had a vision of it finished and on the wall of our school.
On Friday I went to the photography teacher and asked if it would be okay, it was, then I started to gather names of people. After less than an hour of asking people I had already got about 40 names down.
Over the weekend I had a browse through eBay's many photography outlets and found what I was going to need, bookmarked them, and added them to the budget.
After everything is finished it will probably have cost around £650 ($1400) but it'll be worth it.
I'll need two extra soft-boxes, a ring-flash, a white background, face paint, white t-shirts, accessories for the girls, and a giant canvas for the end product.
I want to say a massive thank you to all of my friends who've signed up. You have no idea how much it means to me to see so many open minded and caring people who support full equality for everyone.
You've all given me something to smile about.
I'll keep you guys updated on here. To see the photos as they come in (because I cannot post them to this blog) please visit my main website: www.alwaystherealthing.com for the reel.
The shoot is taking place early next month.
